About the Joumal

The Eurasian Journal of Soil Science (EJSS) is the official English-language journal of the Federation of Eurasian Soil Science Societies (FESSS). Established in 2012, EJSS was published twice yearly in 2012 and 2013 and has been published quarterly since 2014.

EJSS is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal devoted to original research across the soil sciences. It connects fundamental understanding with field, laboratory, modelling and applied studies concerning soils, soil–plant systems and the soil-related dimensions of environmental sustainability.

The journal publishes Research Articles that present original, methodologically sound and sufficiently developed scientific findings. Manuscripts must fit the journal’s aims and scope, make a clear contribution to knowledge, and comply with the journal’s research-integrity and reporting requirements.

All submissions undergo editorial screening. Manuscripts judged suitable are evaluated through double-blind peer review. Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, clarity, relevance and compliance with ethical standards, without discrimination on the basis of authors’ identity, affiliation, nationality or other personal characteristics.

Published articles are freely available immediately upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright and grant EJSS a non-exclusive licence to publish and disseminate the work.
