About the Journal
Eurasian Journal of Soil Science (EJSS) is the official journal of the Federation of Eurasian Soil Science Societies (FESSS), which owns and publishes it. Established in 2012, EJSS was published twice a year in 2012 and 2013 and has been published quarterly since 2014.
EJSS is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open access journal devoted to original research in soil science and plant nutrition. It connects fundamental understanding of soil processes with field, laboratory, modelling and applied studies on soils, soil–plant systems and the role of soils in environmental sustainability.
The journal publishes original Research Articles only. Manuscripts must fall within the aims and scope of the journal, make a clear contribution to the international literature and meet the journal’s research-integrity and reporting standards.
Every submission is first assessed by the editors and, if suitable, undergoes double-blind (double-anonymised) peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on scientific merit, originality, methodological soundness, clarity, relevance and ethical compliance, and are independent of the authors’ identity, affiliation, nationality or any other personal characteristic.
All articles are freely available immediately upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright and grant the Federation of Eurasian Soil Science Societies a non-exclusive licence to publish and distribute their work. EJSS charges no fees at any stage. The journal is also hosted, with all its issues, by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on DergiPark (https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/ejss).
